I think everybody has experienced some level of exhaustion from overwork at some point in their lives. I know I have. Wholefood supplements like Chlorella can go a long way to giving you the extra energy you need in times of stress, including executive burnout.
But just how much of this "burnout" could be avoided by taking the right nutrients?
I would have to say most of it. Here's why. Executives and business people get so involved or stressed in their work that they
- Don't get enough sleep
- Can't sleep because of too much worry
- Have an unhealthy diet
- Drink too much alcohol
- Use coffee & sugar as a substitute for energy
- Don't take the time to fully relax
- Forget that health is more important than... ah, most anything else.
Let's face it, you won't be much use if you are stuck in the hospital on life support, right?
I want to get something straight. Hard or long working hours is NOT the problem. In fact, morale is always high when there is good production. It is, 1. the inability to let go and relax, 2. the failure to get sufficient, restful sleep and 3. not taking the time to get the correct nutrition needed for a fast paced lifestyle.
Out of the above, #3 is the most important because it is the building block for sustained energy output and can help with the other two points. Taking a wholefood like Chlorella can help dramatically from what I have observed.
Because the nutrients in Chlorella are of such good quality, they keep the body in optimum condition. That's not to say that if you keep pouring caffeine or alcohol down your throat and if you just take Chlorella or some other supplement then everything will be just dandy. Of course it won't.
But when you take this kind of supplement, the need for these stimulants diminishes and you start to feel your natural body energy coming through.
What I do is take plenty of Chlorella throughout my daily routine. By the end of the day I still have energy. I have been doing this for the last few years and I am nowhere near burning out. I also love the mental clarity that taking this supplement produces. I think that is one of it's strong points.
So if you feel burnt out or if you are heading down that path then I suggest you supplement your diet with a wholefood like Chlorella. Don't just take a B Complex or some other such vitamin. You need a wholefood!
