Just How Much Chlorella Do You Eat?

Chlorella-img4 There is no exact amount of Chlorella you should eat. You need to find a quantity that suits you and your body.

Just remember though that it is not a drug, medicine or vitamin supplement. It is a wholefood health supplement that is packed with nutrients that the body needs for healthy growth.

If you get a high quality Chlorella then it is quite safe to have reasonably large quantities without any adverse effects. I personally take about 40-50 grams per day and there are no problems. In fact it is pretty great ;)

I always tell people to start small so their body can get used to the high levels of nutrients. It's just like if you drink raw spinach or wheatgrass juice when you are not used to it. It can make you feel a little nauseous.

Here is a good guideline:

Start with 4-8 250mg tablets a day for the first week. That's 1-2 grams. The next week go up to 20 tablets per day. That's 5 grams if you use 250mg tablets. If you feel any uncomfortable reactions then just cut it back for a longer period. It's nothing to worry about. After that I would suggest a daily amount of 10 grams or 40 250mg tablets. I know this seems like a lot of chlorella tablets, but they are small and easy to swallow. 10 tablets at a time with water is a piece of cake. Remember it is just food. Highly nutritious food.

After a few weeks, you will start to notice your energy increasing as the body starts to make use of the highly digestible nutrients.

Chlorella For Your Dog, Cat or Other Pets

Is chlorella safe to give your dog, your cat or other pets?

I would say absolutely yes!

But start slow and make sure there are no allergic reactions before you start to increase the dose. Remember that it is a whole food and not a medicine so higher doses are perfectly safe.

A customer of mine was telling me that their pet mouse Maple really loves chlorella. He turns his nose up at other food but when you give him a chlorella tablet he immediately grabs it and it's gone in a split second. He knows what's good for him :)

Another customer noticed her pack of chlorella was a bit chewed and there was evidence of some green dust around the scene or the crime. She decided to check it out. She opened the zip pack or chlorella and as soon as her pet dog heard it he ran over and looked at her wagging his tail expectantly for a treat. He absolutely loves it (as does her whole family) She reported to me that her dogs ailments are disappearing fast and he just looks much healthier.

It might interest you to know that manufacturers here in Taiwan have very high quality standards. If they find that the quality does not quite match these high standards, the whole batch is sent for animal feed. Must be the healthiest animals on the planet. In fact, I would love to try eggs from chlorella fed chickens. let me know if someone has tried this.

This is not a very good picture but can you see the size difference of these chicks?  The ones on the right had no algae in their feed, the ones in the middle 5% and the ones on the left 10%. Amazing right?

Where Do I Get The Cheapest Best Quality Chlorella?

Chlorella-img4 I get asked this on my site a lot. Where do I get the cheapest best quality chlorella?

When it comes to high quality wholefood supplements you get what you pay for. There is no such thing as cheap and best quality and these two terms shouldn't be used in the same sentence.

If it is cheap chlorella then there is a reason. Maybe it comes from some polluted lake in the middle of China somewhere. Who knows?

What I do know is that reputable companies that make a superior quality chlorella go to great lengths to maintain the purity and usability of their products. This kind of care cannot be purchased cheaply. For me I want to buy chlorella from a company that insists on purity. These manufacturers grow their product in a well controlled, pollution free environment. They make certain each batch complies with very high standards of quality control. There is also the point of cracking the cell so that all the nutrients are available for digestion.
